disappointing products

we're keeping it real today and talking about those products that just didn't live up to the hype for me.

la roche posay anthelios 50 mineral ultra light sunscreen fluid - tinted
this is the second time i have purchased the product however the first time i picked it up i got the untinted fluid and i loved it. i loved it so much i went out and repurchased the tinted version. ok so the actual product is still amazing but the tinted version just has this really funky smell that really puts me off every time i use it. therefore it's just been sitting on my shelf... being stinky.

maybelline color tattoo - 35 tough as taupe
i'm only disappointed with this particular shade in the color tattoo line. i also have two shimmery color tattoos and i think the texture and application of those are much much better than this one. the taupe color is a matte cream eyeshadow but it's not really that creamy and it's not that great to apply. again this one just sits on the shelf collecting dust now too.

fresh sugar plum tinted lip treatment
i'm mostly disappointed with the color of this. it's really unflattering on my lips and skin tone. i have seen it on much paler complexions and i think it looks a lot nicer, but for me i just didn't like it. i use it now at night so no one really sees me wearing it and it's gotten a little gnarly towards the end of its use. its starting to melt as its got a similar texture to vaseline...

revlon just bitten kissable balm - 001 honey
i really wanted to like this and i still think the color and everything about it is great, BUT i'm allergic to something in the ingredients!! every time i have used it, my upper lip gets swollen and feels numb for the entire day! so sadly i won't be able to use this anymore.

essie - feed me intense hydration treatment
i used this as my basecoat all throughout the winter since it's supposed to be a hydrating treatment but i felt my nails were still weak and brittle. now that it's summer my nails are far less prone to chipping and i'm still using this base coat but i don't think i'll be repurchasing it again.
